Dr. Ashna P A
Dr. Ashna P.A. is a distinguished healthcare leader and
one of the Directors and Promoters of Futureace Hospital in Kochi. She is a
Maxillofacial Prosthodontist and Implantologist with over 15 years of experience,
specializing in laser dentistry. Dr. Ashna earned her BDS from FDC Mysore and her
MDS from Amrita School of Dentistry. In addition to her clinical role, she serves as
Managing Partner at AMA Associates
and involved with Glamgrove Fashionhouse and Karunya Hrudayalaya. A recipient of
multiple awards, including the JCI Queens Bee Award (2024) and the Best Entrepreneur
Award (2022), she holds fellowships in Entrepreneurship and Finance from IIM
Bangalore, reflecting her commitment to excellence in both healthcare and business.
Dr Ashna P A: From Dentist to Serial Entrepreneur
Every journey is a mystery!!
Mine began with a dental chair and a dream. Today, it’s no longer just dentistry, but a
journey which has bloomed into something bigger than I ever imagined. I hail from an
orthodox Muslim family and got married to Dr. Haneesh, an ENT Surgeon and social
influencer. Life took a 180 degree turn when my husband got GBS, a disease affecting one
in a lakh, years back, where in his limbs got paralysed.
With just a BDS degree in one hand and triplet babies 2.5 years old, it was one of the
biggest challenges I was facing at that time. Once he got partially recovered, the first
thing we decided was for me to enroll in postgraduation at Amrita School of Dentistry,
and I became a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist. I worked for a year at Indira Gandhi
Cooperative Hospital.
Dentistry is of course a white-collar job. But I realized it is only by giving back to
society that the purpose of life is truly served. With like minded friends as partners,
I started a multispecialty, superspecialty hospital in Cochin, a boutique hospital, a
unique healthcare startup that provides premium personal services at affordable cost. A
centre for daycare surgeries and a shared hospital space for doctors.
Meanwhile, I also stepped forward in multiple businesses. I became the Managing Partner
of AMA Associates (a C&F company) and Director of an eCommerce platform. I was selected
for two prestigious courses at IIM Bangalore one in entrepreneurship and another in
finance funded by Goldman Sachs.
I was selected for various leadership roles: Executive Member of WEN (Women
Entrepreneurs Network) for two years, Executive Member of WINGS (Women’s Initiative for
Nurturing Growth of Society), Co-lead Health Panel of Indian Women Network of CII
Cochin, and Director Consultant of BNI Cochin.
I have received multiple awards such as the Best Entrepreneur Award by IDA Cochin, JCI
QUEENSBEE Award, Rising Star Award by TMA, Golden Eagle Award, and the Mompreneur Award
by Samrambham.
I currently spearhead the HR department of Futureace Hospital and am highly passionate
about training and mentoring. I’ve been invited as a guest speaker to various
professional colleges in association with IEDC. Currently, I am associated with Boche’s
Chemmannur Group as a master sales trainer.
I was a jury member for the national pitching competition, Indian Startup League held at
Calicut. So far, my journey has been nothing less than exciting and it continues…
